Hayne, Devon is fully licensed for Civil Wedding Ceremonies & Partnerships.
You have the luxury of choice with either an indoor ceremony in our stunning Threshing Barn or outdoors in the naturalistic Walled Garden or the south facing sun terrace overlooking a breath-taking wooded valley. Therefore you can get married at Hayne in the afternoon and follow on straight into your reception. If you choose to have an outside ceremony, we make the decision on the morning of your wedding as to whether it can be held outside or not – We all know that Devon weather can be dimpsy at times!
Church Weddings
We are very lucky to have many beautiful churches
Close to Hayne, so if you choose to get married in a church, then you can still use Hayne as your venue for your reception, wedding breakfast and evening party.

At Hayne we offer exclusive 48 hour hire,
Giving plenty of time to relax and enjoy your wedding day. You and your guests can escape into a wonderfully tranquil setting in which to completely focus on friends and family. Your backdrop will be rolling hills, green fields, wooded valleys and apple orchards. The beautifully renovated buildings offer warm, light and spacious interiors in which to eat, drink and entertain. You will experience the enchanting mood captured at Hayne, and have exclusive use of our magical walled garden filled with mature trees, wild flowers, grasses, roses, honeysuckle, and perennial style planting. Hayne is a great choice of venue all year round and in all seasons. Even on cold, crisp days the Threshing Barn and glass link overlooking the wooded valley are toasty and warm thanks to our biomass underfloor heating system.
Make the most of your evening party…
Most venues will close around midnight, just when everyone is really enjoying the party. At Hayne our hire period runs until 1.30 a.m, when the music stops and the bar closes.
Upon reserving/booking your wedding date
We advise that you contact Devon District Council as soon as possible to make arrangements with the Registrar to ensure their availability on the date and time of your choice.
