Hayne Farmhouse

Its south facing position ensures Hayne Catches the first and the last of the sun.

Mentioned on a charter of Edgar which was dated 974 there has been a dwelling on the site at least since the middle ages. Little has changed since its last significant rebuilding of c1670 and so it retains many original features.

Threshing Barn

Great late 17th century grade II* was recently restored
  • constructed from cob and lime
  • 12 ventilation slots preserved with their original carpentry
  • Two opposing pairs of double doors and an elm threshing floor through the middle.
  • Newly laid limestone floor either side (with underfloor heating)
  • 17th century A-frames having the long legs of jointed crucks re-used upside down
Long Barn

Grade II listed, it is attached to the house and has been recently renovated; A mix of stone and cob construction; It was originally for agricultural use and is now open planned in design along with 3 bedrooms and bathrooms.

Old Milking Parlour

Converted to use as a kitchen at one end. Facilities for Gents/Ladies/Disabled lavatories and showers

Exterior

Set amongst 25 acres of pastures, woodland, orchard, kitchen garden, landscaped lawns and an enchanting cob walled garden. The view overlooks an ancient hanging wood across the valley which winds down to the River Yeo.

We can provide ample parking for the production vehicles, coaches & executive cars. We have a split phase power supply, Wi-Fi, catering, on-site accommodation including yurts & bell tents, and the Threshing Barn is wired for a PA system and has flexible discreet lighting (remote controlled spots, stage lighting etc).
